September 2010. I have a 05 chevy trail blazer whereby I hear a resonating, tuning folk-like sound coming from the right, passenger side dash of the vehicle. This sound is very low and intermittent. It is heard when the AC is on. The blower blows cold air after about 3 to 5 minutes of being turned on.This is a common problem on the Trailblazer. This is due to failure of the mode actuator. To fix the problem, the mode actuator will need to be replaced. It is located on the left side of the heater case and can be accessed from under the drivers side of the dash. Unlike what I have read on this forum, the REAR AC in my Trailblazer (non-ext model) is NOT installed in in the roof, instead it is installed between the front seats behind the center console. In my vehicle there are 2 small vents located at the rear of the center console pointing backwards towards the rear seats.Disconnected my battery long enough to replace the clutch fan on my 2006 Chevy Trailblazer.
