Poison is currently not in a great place. The effects do not stack. Most poison attacks only refresh the same poison DoT reducing the potential DPS of the concept massively. The mask of the broodmother for example enables posion on any weapon that has no posion effect. But it does not improve already poisonous weapons.

for FS pve, you should always have flamethrower. ignore any guide that suggests otherwise. flamethrower is like 90% of your dps. my suggestion would be to keep FS/IG as your main. eventually get an artifact like the finisher or abyss and pair that with either your FS or IG for when you want to do an M3. You can then branch out into something like ladybug armor or even black ant mid-game if you find yourself taking too much damage or not really good at parrying.
