I'm just seeing this thread for the first time, but I was going to comment that it could either be a failure in the VTM-4 system OR a different failure that has disabled the VTM-4 system causing the light to illuminate. In your case, it was obviously the latter.Caused a check engine code 3 & 5 cylinder misfires. VTM-4 light was on for a day or so, check engine light was on for 3 days or so.
