Step 17- Go back to the “Helper EX” folder and select both the DLC and the update folders, right click and then cut. Go to “WiiUGames Updates and DLC” and simply paste. Step 18- Now launch the Cemu 1.12.0 emulator. Go to options tab at the top and select “configure game paths”. Double click to add a new entry.
Install the update for the game. Make sure it works on your pc. Update the graphic packs and set the resolution for the steam deck. Copy the cemu folder to the deck and add the cemu.exe to steam. Set proton version and run it. the problem is all Cemu related and would be identical if you copy your cemu over to windows. Yes. I was able to install it in Desktop mode with no problem. I just want to play while docked to my tv (with a controller) and right now, I have to start CEMU, then use the pads to select BotW. Using EmuDeck, I would be able to start the game directly from SteamOS. I found out that you should go to desktop mode, and run Cemu from desktop steam.

And the game launches but then it says i need a system update... i read somewhere to change the system txt to version 1.0.0. But im not sure how to do this... I dont see any changable files. In order to increase my FPS, I recently made a bunch of settings and CPU changes based on Serfrost's CEMU setup guide from the Wiki, including overclocking my CPU, turning on Triplecore Threading, etc. Now, the entire game is running at hyperspeed: Link and NPCs are sprinting around like Sonic the Hedgehog ... Be careful with this method. I would play BOTW on Yuzu, but it lags on both Vulkan and OpenGL, no matter what I do. Does not help playing on the Steam Deck too. try using Ryujinx. i was able to get 30+fps without any modifications on tears of the kingdom from it freshly installed. also be sure that all drivers are up to date that might help

Cemu crashes at boot for BoTW. Troubleshooting. I don't have a ton of information but I have followed alot of guides on getting this to work. I load the game it asks for me to run an update. I got the files for the update and ran those. Now when I load the game it gives me the splash screen for 1 second and then crashes right after that.
