I've got a GSG 1911 that works wonderfully. Got a bad firing pin that broke within the first couple days, but a quick call had a free replacement expedited to me. Other than that, feed it high velocity ammo! It needs the extra kick to properly cycle. Oh and Browning BPR is cancer in the 1911.
All GSG/Sig 1911s have series 80 safeties. Therefore there is only one firing pin option. The only way you could have one of these guns with out it is to remove the series 80 parts and replace with the correct shim. The pin is coming from ATI for the GSG 1911-22. The usual concern with rimfires is that the FP will dent the breach face.
