I think the Niros all used anti theft. When you first put the key in and turn it on does it show an orange key symbol on the dash for 2 seconds ? If it does then it does have a transponder key. The key in the Niro has an engine immobilizer. It’s only Kias with turn ignitions. Push buttons aren’t affected / effected.
