I bought Darkest Dungeon 2 the other day because I saw it was verified now. Installed and loaded it up and it ran fine. I got to the first intro fight, made a few choices and it just froze. So I closed out the game and loaded it back up, it loaded up to the exact spot it froze at. Can't install mods manually. I guess that the title says it all. I was about to add some mods (mostly, skins and a pair of those new decent done classes) but... hell, they don't appear in the in-game menu.
