Ok, the Prestolite distributor on my 450 needs points, rotor and condensor. I chased parts today and found them, but points, condensor, rotor and cap will run about $100. Not only that but I worry about how hard it'll be to get them next time I need them. Someone suggested electronic...Rotate dist toward retard direction. Pull coil wire out of cap and hold it 1/4 inch from good clean metal and rotate dist advance direction (opposite way rotor turns) until you get a spark. I think you will find dist will be in a different spot with electronic than points due to placement of pickup in dist.
