So I shortened the barrel to 2 1/4 inch and made a custom front sight plus opened up the rear sight notch. I looked at it and realized that the previous owner must have dry fired it a tremendous amount and broke the firing pin.

In the picture it looks like the crown was made by grinding because it is so smooth. The most important part of the crown is the tiny areas where the rifling meets the crown.
