Here’s a technique for finding slides positions with both triggers engaged: 1 st position will play a D with two triggers. To locate the 2nd position with both triggers active, play a D♭ in the middle (bass clef) stave using the G♭ trigger and 1st position. Now, recreate that SAME note utilizing both triggers and an extended 2nd position.
Make sure to Practice lip slurs: start 2nd-line Bb and play to F and back, then F, octave Bb, F, Bb. Bb, F, Bb, D, back down and so on until you've gone as high as you can. Spend a few minutes doing that and use all 7 positions.
