For CSULB I like that it is ranked as one of the number one programs in the state. I am worried that if I chose SDSU I might regret not picking CSULB because their program is better. And I’m worried that if I chose SDSU I would regret not being able to get the experience of moving out/social life available at SDSU. SDSU is pretty well known for college sports as well, much more than CSULB. The SDSU basketball team has always been highly regarded and it’s getting plenty of attention right now, especially since they’re in the final four for the first time ever. Only concern would be housing, places to stay. San Diego is not cheap. 1. Cal State Long Beach's students to faculty ratio (22 to 1) is lower than San Diego State (25 to 1). Cal State Long Beach (38,973 students) is larger than San Diego State (37,402 students) with more enrolled students. Cal State Long Beach ($8,847) has higher amount of financial aid than San Diego State ($8,114).

Both CSULB and SDSU will give you an excellent education in the sciences (Biology). In regards to research and internships, it will be depend upon how much effort you put in to seek out these opportunities since they are there at both schools.
