Take the posts out first thing in the morning and see if they are still standing as well that evening. You have to use your best judgement, but if they are still standing and haven't softened at all you could probably try an over-nighter. At the first sign of softening then immediately post again.

Well I ended up taking him to the emergency vet. The girl there had a real attitude and said this is why you shouldn't crop ears for. It was bad, already infected, the ear was full of blood and he was in pain. The crop itself is botched, i love him anyways. I hate I put him through all of this. I have not seen any appreciable difference in how long healing takes in either method.
