2N Hydraulic lift problems and a few other odditie. First post to the forum although I've been lurking for several months now. We recently bought a 45 2N. It didn't run when we bought it. First thing I did was to drain and replenish the gear oil, engine oil and filter, rebuild the carb, replace the fuel tank tap and put in a new battery.

If you will get one of my 8N lift adjusting jig fixtures you can fix that lift. It is impossible to adjust the 8N lift with the instructions in most manuals. That adjustment would work on a lift that was prestine but it ain't!
