The HK gunsmiths baseline price for a PTR91 rebarrel was $450. The HK Gunsmith I used was referred by Ghilliebear. The main issue with the various buffers/stock combos for the HK91/G3/HK21 and including the E model is the diameter of the HK21E buffer is much thicker than the opening in the various sticks will allow. I'd look for a barrel that is on the big side of tolerance for the project.The cut barrel I pushed out of the trunnion was sitting .013" proud. I pushed the new barrel in .015" proud and the bolt gap with the bolt carrier touching nothing at all will let in a .015" feeler gauge and it will not let in a .016" feeler gauge.
