It’s hard to say which type of dedication is better than the other. For instance i have a build for a Gnome Starlit Magus that uses a Halfling sling and becomes a personal mortar/trebuchet. Just a silly idea that optimizes pretty well. I could go down Fighter or Archer for Point-Blank Stance; since Starlit’s Arcane Cascade is practically trash.

Without the Magus, this might have been a TPK for us. Nobody else in the group had single target frost or water attacks. You have to take so many feats to just get some spell slots that you end up being more sorcerer than you are champion. Aside from the role-play, it might be easier to multiclass into champion as a sorcerer.
