Ruger security 9 slide stuck.
Sent it in to Ruger and got it back a week later with a new trigger, springs, etc. Take it to the range the second time and it shoots great. A nice gun to shoot. Problem again. A new problem on a brand new gun. Now it's the slide. With the slide locked back, load a mag into the well, the slide releases and loads the chamber all on its own.
P90 slide is stuck. Problems with Max 9. Today was the second time I was able to take my new Max 9 out to the range. The first time I did, the slide wasn't able to return to battery via slingshoting it. Possibly call local gun smith. Hold slide. Slam palm onto grip. Repeat. it could be the round stuck that's preventing the slide from moving. If you can press on the extractor (releasing case) while pulling the slide back, you may get it to move. Then it'll be easy to stick a dowel down the barrel and pound it out.
Once you remove the innards you can readjust/orient your safety button. 1. Use a 3/32" pin punch and remove the crosspin that holds the ejector assembly in place - take care as there is a spring under tension on the right hand side of the assembly. The Lite Rack Ruger .380 runs about 10 pounds. This isn’t a difficulty for most shooters. The slide is nicely finished with generous rear cocking serrations and small but useful forward cocking serrations. The sights are excellent by any standard for personal defense.
