If you could get it for $300-$350 I think it would make a great little gun, especially paired up with a PMR. I am almost sure the stock makes no difference in firing. Unfortunately some people were not put here to evolve.The Speer Gold Dots (1050fps) and the 30Gr CCI Maxi Mags definitely caused issues with my PMR. Just got back from the gun shop. Bought four boxes of Winchester Super-X 40 grain and a box of CCI Maxi-Mag. 40 grain to try on my next range detail for handguns (Friday). Picked up two more boxes later this afternoon.

The CMR is quirky for sure and yes, the mags are not idiot proof, and Kel Tec did cut some corners to keep the price down but it's a long way from being bad enough to call a "dumpster fire".
