I'm running e-bolts in both, but had issues finding the FA e-carrier until LMT's BF sale. Rifles are both stock other than Geissele Airborne CHs on both and a Geissele SD-C trigger on the Shovelnose. The Specwar has a US Axle trigger. TL;DR - it really smooths out the recoil and works great with the Geissele H1 suppressed and unsuppressed. The Shovelnose flipped to the suppressed setting runs so smoothly and the ejection pattern is essentially unchanged. The Specwar runs around 1-2 o'clock with an H1 and around 3 o'clock with an H2. It also has noticeably more gas in the face, at least for a lefty (cross-dominant) shooter like me.The CK-Pro receiver sets look cool but the LMT is battle tested, has ambi-controls, and is a true monolithic upper. LMT is literally top tier… they had some QC issues for a while after hiring a bunch of new workers and trying to keep up with demand but it seems like all of that has been resolved now. LMT came up with a two part system—the enhanced bolt carrier and the enhanced bolt—to address the issues. At the same time, Colt engineers looked at all of the broken bolts and damaged guns since they owned the exclusive right to make the M4 for the military. The enhanced carrier should really only be considered for the specwar if you’re mostly running suppressed, but it will function unsuppressed. But go with what you can find. The real answer is 14.5.
