I suspect that because of fierce downtown traffic, only the highest-end, Concierge-level private tour would pick you up at a hotel. NYNY is slightly more centrally located than Luxor, but there's not very much in it. Of the 2, NYNY is the much more busier resort & has a more exciting vibe about it IMO - If you want a slightly quieter stay, then go for Luxor.
