I’m new to pathfinder and don’t master the rules yet, specially the strategies of multiclassing, and am relying a little bit on these guides on my first play through.

The 1st one is a damage beast in real time. While probably not plain overpowered Sylvan Sorcerer is a great pure class if you don't want to combine 4+ classes together to create a multiclass monstrosity. I played my main playthrough as one with Smilodon as animal companion, Spell Focus (Conjuration) and Spell Focus (Evocation).
Another thing to consider: Depending on which companions you take (and how you build them), certain PC classes are stronger or weaker based on your party composition. i played as wizard on "challenging" difficulty, changed it to "story". companions are valerie,jaethal,linzi,amiri and fighter merc. I think problem is not build.

To the OP, the most effective build I found is a Tower Shield Specialist Fighter who takes armor focus, shield focus and dodge for feats, as a human. Max out your AC and it is a lot easier than any other build.
