Same here, rebirth takes too much time to stabilize my economy. I just started beardverse, and had only done the first completion for 24h and basic challenge. I can't see myself playing ngu idle for more than 10 minutes a day, Maybe i should get the 100PP advance training so i can finally start on challenges.

For the no equipment challenge the equipment doesn't matter but you most likely want to at least have defeated UUG and unlocked beards, preferably after you put a decent amount in permanent levels for the first beard (that beard doesn't have a soft cap but around 1000 permanent levels will really help).
