That said, I've only tried with mouse, and there was a bug a few experimentals ago that made adding to exosuit tech difficult. I'll grab another bulkhead and experiment a little.

I found a cargo bulkhead upgrade for my freighter. I thought cool I'll go upgrade my freighter inventory. The bulkhead was in my exosuit inventory. I went to the upgrade terminal and 1 cargo bulkhead let me fully upgraded both my general and technology freight inventories. I doubt you are supposed to be able to do that. You can't get a natural 48 slot freighter, but you can get a max 34 and then use freighter bulkheads from derelict freighters to expand all the way to the same max as suit and starship, but it has to be S-Class for that.Pirate Freighter Anatomy.
