Every upgrade that I know of addresses the little nit picky stuff of the 930 and I would jump on getting a tactical version if they came out with one. Bigger bolt release, colored follower, and the new gas piston that reduces fouling and buildup pretty much sums up almost everything that I would want in a shotty besides the 24" barrel.

Mossberg sent me a replacement spring and it was the exact same length. But if you look at the exploded parts view of the 940 Pro versus the 940 Pro tactical within the same manual, there's obviously two different springs shown in the ... So if you like to tinker and have some mechanical skills, the 940 MIGHT be a good choice, but if you want reliability from the start, unfortunately would. recommend a 1301 or a recoil operated SG such as Benelli or Stoeger. The Beretta 1301 is so much better than the Mossberg 940. Consider a benelli m2. I shoot lots of 3gun with it, and take it waterfowl and upland hunting (minus the mag tube of course).
