The Bergara B14R is a winner in every single sense of the word. It is incredibly accurate, extremely well made, it's an excellent design, and this rifle is not "tiny tunes" in the least. This is a serious rifle. It can make a Vudoo V22 break a sweat and make a Remington 40x hang its head.

Manufactured in Spain, the B-14R builds on the family of the Bergara B-14 centerfire rifle series. Available now in .17 HMR and .22 WMR, we're sure the .22 LR version will outsell the others significantly because of the .22 LR chambering. As mentioned, the platform fits nearly all Remington 700-pattern stocks, scope bases and triggers.
The HMR is also solid. I'd pick whichever feels better and if you like the traditional or tube gun look better. The HMR is my current PRS rifle just because it's 6.5 while the RPR is .308, but it gets used for F Class. Check dack outdoors if you go with the hmr the 308 was $100 cheaper than anywhere else. If you are looking to compete in NRL22 Base class your best choices are probably a 457 or Tikka 1x to get under the $1,000 price cap. I have a Tikka 1x in 17HMR.

A lot of chassis makes stopped making chassis for the 455 when the 457 came out. Instead of getting a 457 I got and second B14R, love them, drop a Trigger Tech Diamond and you are set, it comes with a good chassis, but you don't like them.The Remington 700 comparability, the great magazines, and some incredible accuracy. The B-14R provides a great mid-step between the more budget-minded .22 LR precision rifles like the CZ 457 or Tikka T1x ($400-500) and the really high-end rifles like the Voodoo V-22 ($1,700+).I actually ended up going a different direction.
