The previous owner installed a Pete Jackson gear drive and used the 2 degree retard insert for some reason. What should the result be by using the 2 degree retard versus being set a 0 degree. The engine is not very responsive at low end.It had 10.5 to one, but a fairly long cam (248-258 on 108) when I advanced it to 8 degrees total, It picked up power everywhere from 4000 to 7200.
