If it was originally an underfolder, the "slant cut" is normal and it should have the underfolder cover over the rear of the receiver with a stock tang welded on. My 2 cents is to find a complete Norinco underfolder and install it. I have this stock on my MAK 90 and I love it. I get lots of comments about it when I go to the range. It is a bit longer than the standard AK stock, which makes it much nicer to shoot in my opinion. I can snap the rifle up quickly and it doesn't hurt my cheek when it recoils like some folding stocks I have used.
