In fact, it seems that majority of people have a major hatred for SDN. Here are a couple things I have noticed: I look at it like this: You can do ChemE and be pre-med (do all of the necessary additional classes and get in all of your obligatory ECs: (research, volunteering, clinical, leadership, etc.)) OR. You can do ChemE and train to be a ChemE (do your co-op, join relevant ECs like AIChE, etc.).It feels like I get conflicting opinions everywhere I look. r/premed and SDN recommend finding like-minded premed students to do “swaps” and completely avoiding coaching or editing services. Do NOT get discouraged by this subreddit or SDN. I've seen some people expressing that this sub and SDN have been kinda discouraging. I felt the exact same way and thus wanted to provide a little bit of advice. R/premed and SDN are extremely useful when you're getting tips, learning different ECs to do, how to strengthen your app etc.

I would recommend starting with your school's prereqs. Definitely go in taking chemistry and lab, and maybe also biology.
