Without it most of the spells/cantrips you'd usually pick are just not there. Ya on The tabletop it supplements it’s damage and advantage with cantrips it doesn’t have that here so it falls behind in damage and utility.The big benefit of arcane trickster imo is familiars and big control spells. They do get outclassed by blade singer very hard though in terms of gishyness, and by pure casters in terms of control and nova.
