It is ok for water to come out immediately.If you have no water coming out that means there is no cooling taking place.You can take out the stat and check it by putting it in a glass of cold water for a few minutes and then put it in a glass of warm water and see if it opens at all.It should.Charlie. I am learning repair as I go and worked with my Dad to try to diagnose this issue. We disassembled the lower unit and didn't find anything glaringly wrong with the water pump or impeller but it still won't autoprime.
