A bit of update herein: Had to re-tap the rear cylinder & insert a new plug sleeve, but it appears to have taken well. New battery, plug wires, air filter, fuel lines/filter & a new petcock. Attempted to bust her off & starter turned good but no gas. Used some starter fluid & she fired up for a couple of seconds, then died.

HD has gone to sealed bearings a long time ago.
