Navien still does not want to talk to homeowners. The reasons are understandable and based on homeowners take too much time and don't have testing equipment nor training. This, from someone who has been trained at various field trainings from most tankless mfrs. who will talk to homeowners.
I wanted to return to this thread, now a little over three weeks since the install of my new Navien 240A, and just report that all is well and that there have been no problems regarding the new unit's 2-inch venting being connected to the existing 4-inch venting which was required by the previous unit.Please forgive me if this is an obvious question or anything, I have been trying to search here and elsewhere since I decided to go with the Navien 240A. The one thing separating Navien from the rest is on the top line NPE A series, the insulated mini tank is built in. None of the others have one, still. Both Noritz and Navien have built-in pumps. We only install Navien NPE A series. I like everything about them (including competitive price that had been holding steady at ~$1,600).

Had a guy came to replace the coil, initially the boiler was showing e02 (low water pressure in the heating side), he messed with it a little bit (drained, purged air etc) and got it working. but a few hours later e02 came back and it's not working again...The problem could be caused by any of the following problems. No power to the unit. This is the first thing I always check. No water flow into the Unit. Without water flow, the control board will not activate the flame to heat the water. A bad Control Board.
