There are guns in the military base, just not all that many. It has a pretty ordinary armoury, but I noted no military-specific loot there. The only place I've found M16s and the like is at the military checkpoint near Louisville. Military base definitely isn't worth the sheer hassle of going there, it should be given a proper road in my opinion. Hello ! Camp Hill (by the same author as those two) is also a great military base custom map, but I don't think it uses a custom tileset at all. Similarly, another awesome military base is Valley Station Military Outpost, but again no custom items in this one as far as I'm aware.

To the north of the town, you'll find a small barracks, you'll mostly find clothing there, but it will I cludevthe military backpack, which is the best in the game.
